Qualifications
What it takes.
License
Valid Class A CDL. No suspensions, no revocations. Current medical certificate required.
Experience
Minimum two years verifiable OTR experience. Dry van experience preferred, not required.
Safety Record
No DUI, reckless driving, or at-fault major accidents within the past five years.
Equipment
Owner-operator with your own tractor. Bring your own 53' dry van trailer, or we'll work with you on options.
Authority
Operate under Sonic Transport authority (MC-717423). No double brokering, no outside loads.
Insurance
Bobtail and non-trucking liability coverage required.
Military service counts in full.
Active duty and honorably discharged veterans — your service time counts toward the experience requirement. A combat deployment counts the same as two years behind the wheel. You put in the time. We recognize it.
Veterans start at 86%.
